Clinical Counselor Graduate Assistantship
Position Description
Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) currently has six, 20-hour per week positions open for a Clinical Counselor Graduate Assistantship. Positions are for one academic year. Appointments will begin August and conclude in May.
Responsibilities and essential functions for this position include:

Provide culturally sensitive, individual, 集团, and crisis counseling services to Ohio University students

Cover one, four-hour shift of drop-in/crisis services per week

Provide after hours, evenings, and weekend outreach programming to the campus community

Participate in training activities as they relate to professional and clinical interests

Attend supervision sessions

Complete documentation of clinical services in a timely manner

Follow all relevant CPS, Division of Student Affairs (DOSA), and university policies

Follow all relevant ethical guidelines and Ohio laws related to the provision of therapy
Benefits
$15,500 stipend for the academic year (tuition waiver provided by the student's academic department)
Eligibility
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral student in Counselor Education (Counselor Education doctoral students must have earned a master's in counseling) or a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology in their third year or beyond.
- Successful completion of all prior practicum/traineeship and/or internship hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as a trainee within CPS.
- Experience practicing psychotherapy in a clinical setting with traditional and non-traditional college students.
- Strong clinical, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to working with diverse student populations in an affirming environment.
- Commitment and openness to receiving supervision.
- Access to reliable transportation.
